Join the exciting BlueTeam! We are presently seeking a Senior Project Accountant. The Senior Project Accountant is the liaison between the Company’s operations and finance department. You will work closely with operations personnel and client representatives.

What you’ll do....

• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project budgets
  • Assist in forecasting costs and revenues based on project progress and changes
• Cost Tracking and Analysis:
  
  • Monitor and analyze project costs including materials, labor, and overhead
  • Provide regular cost reports to project teams and management
• Billing and Invoicing:
  
  • Generate accurate and timely project invoices in accordance with contract terms
  • Coordinate with project managers to address client billing inquiries and discrepancies
• Subcontractor Management:
  
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to track and manage subcontractor payments
• Job Costing:
  
  • Implement and maintain a robust job costing system for accurate project accounting
  • Allocate costs to specific projects and cost categories
• Financial Reporting:
  
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to project teams and management
  • Ensure financial data is in compliance with company standards
• Change Order Management:
  
  • Work closely with project managers to assess and process change orders
  • Update project budgets and forecasts based on approved changes
• Compliance and Auditing:
  
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, and company policies
  • Support internal and external reviews related to project finances
• Cash Flow Management:
  
  • Monitor project cash flow and work with project teams to optimize cash management
  • Provide insights into potential cash flow challenges and recommend solutions

What you’ll need...

• Education and Experience
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required
• Qualifications
  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must take pride in accuracy and be very detail oriented
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be "tech savvy" and proficient in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and time management skills
