Why We Need you!
As the Senior Sales Engineer (Specialist) you will engage with customers to recommend security solutions that address their specific needs, with partners to educate them on Ivanti solutions and evangelize the benefits of selling our solutions, with sales teams to nurture and mentor, and with product management and customer success to ensure end-to-end success throughout the customer lifecycle. You will be a key technical resource to the sales team and be responsible for supporting them in driving technical sales for the company.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide technical sales expertise in network and endpoint security products and solutions as a member of the sales specialist team in the West.
- Present solutions in the correct context to customers at all levels from engineer/analyst to CISO and CIO, explaining details in a way that is easily understood by your audience.
- Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.
- Lead all aspects of the technical sales process including coordination of supporting resources.
- Maintain expertise in Zero Trust Network Access, Risk-Based Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security solutions, and other related offerings.
- Assist sales team members with details for quoting solutions to partners and customers.
- Manage and drive solution evaluations and proof-of-concept exercises, focusing on successful outcome in a timely manner.
- Participate in SE team workshops and learning events, sharing your knowledge with, and learning from peers.
- Interface with teams such as Product Management, Global Support, and others to foster an effective working relationship and share information and requirements from customers and partners.
- Support Marketing efforts by attending and presenting at industry events as needed.
To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:
- Experience in a technical sales role in related software or networking industry with increasing levels of personal and technical responsibility including a minimum of 5 years of experience with firewalls, virtual private networks, network access control, mobile security, cloud-based services, mobile device management, Windows, MacOS, Linux, Apple iOS, Google Android.
- Demonstratable knowledge of the OSI Reference Model and network security protocols.
- Working knowledge with authentication services, Active Directory, SAML SSO, virtualization, firewall, and overall enterprise security architectures
- An intellectual curiosity, be process oriented and technically competitive.
- A BA/BS degree or higher, or equivalent work-related experience.
- An eagerness to travel within the assigned territory up to 30% or more as needed.
