Your Role:
A strong Sales People Leader is essential in creating a world-class sales organization. Our people leaders unlock and drive value by enabling and empowering team members to optimally position our products in the field, drive revenue growth, uncover and capitalize on market opportunities, and serve as real partners to our clients. As the Sr Sales Leader Effectiveness Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales Leader Effectiveness, you will be accountable for executing the strategy for this, contributing to the design, and implementing the program for all sales people managers within the Cox Auto Sales and Marketing organization.You will work in partnership with People Solutions/Global Learning and other learning teams to ensure the effort to improve sales leader effectiveness aligns with sales leader development across Cox Automotive.
Success in this role is defined by:
  • Deepening leadership's understanding of performance-driven metrics; introduce and instruct innovative methods for assessing selling behaviors by leveraging leading, leaning, and lagging indicators (forecast, pipeline, attainment, win rate, yield, etc.).
  • Teaching people managers how to adequately prepare and execute coaching strategies that inspire team members to buy-in to change initiatives and attain performance goals.
  • Improving sales leadership's ability to effectively provide real-time skills assessment and performance coaching; reinforcing Challenger sales behaviors.
  • Facilitating the transition of people leaders out of their previous role and effectively assimilate them into new role-relevant responsibilities.

What you'll do:
  • Lead training programs that increase sales leader understanding of critical sales behaviors, performance metrics, and activities that influence sales goal attainment.
  • Partner with sales leaders to assess and analyze current state; examine performance gaps, assess needs, and synthesizes the data to create models and recommendations for training (i.e., sales skills evaluation and performance improvement recommendations and resolution).
  • Facilitate training/effectiveness programs that enhance partnerships across all sales teams and engage in high-level initiatives for systemic growth throughout Cox Automotive.
  • Support training and effectiveness measures to ensure learning solutions are practical and aligned with business strategy.
  • Leverage all available, relevant training and programming across Cox Enterprise (inclusive of CAI, CEI, and CCI, EX-Labs) to create leader effectiveness and development pathways to close learning gaps.
  • Collaborate with Sales Learning Strategy to assist in the design development, and execution of certification programs that enable and empower leaders to deliver team member coaching, training, and development around GTM strategies, product knowledge, and sales skills.
  • Collaborate with Sales Learning Execution to assist in the design, development, and launch of a gold-standard onboarding program for new sales leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and six years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and four years of experience, a Ph.D. and one year of experience, or ten years of experience in a related field
Preferred:
  • Proven ability to work independently and multitask with a great sense of prioritization
  • Advanced training, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Certified in Challenger Sales methodology (preferred)
  • Coaching and/or Trainer Facilitation Certification (preferred)
  • Automotive industry Expertise
  • Consulting capability with exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all employee, company, and vendor/client information
  • Working knowledge of sales enablement tools and systems
  • Focused attention on organizational issues and challenges
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Attention to detail with logical thought process; problem-solving and root cause identification skills
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Meticulous organizational skills
  • Ability to lead projects and drive valuable outcomes.
