Summary of the role:

At Navitaire, the Senior Scrum Master is accountable for Accelerating the flow of value delivery at Agile team level, through embracing and promoting the Lean-Agile values and principles. Facilitates the team and train ceremonies and is the guardian of the Scrum/Kanban artifacts; communicates with stakeholders, escalates impediments, helps manage risks, and strives to improve this all in a robust way, restlessly.

Among his/her responsibilities are: 

• Coach teams on agile practices and a lean-agile mindset
• Implement Agile (Scrum, Kanban) best practices with new teams and coach them to maturity
• Act as a key change agent related to agile transformation efforts
• Serve as a thought leader within our Agile Community of Practice
• Coach teams to improve predictability and transparency
• Coach individuals and teams to optimize their flow of value
• Coach individuals and teams on the criteria for Epics, Features, Backlog Items and Bugs
• Coach individuals and teams to monitor metrics and analytics using real-time data and dashboards
• Facilitate agile ceremonies at team level
• Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings

Skills Needed to Be Successful:

• You're an Agilist with who knows how to coach and develop engaged teams that deliver value to customers
• You're an Agilist with a deep understanding of multiple agile frameworks, their best practices, and appropriate applications
• You are a proven leader and problem solver in both agile and traditional project management roles
• You have a history of delivering successful projects, reaching milestones and meeting deadlines
• You have professional training and certifications from organizations like Scrum.org, LeSS, Scrum Alliance, SAFe, and PMI
• You're respected by former co-workers, colleagues and peers

Education:

• BA or BS or equivalent experience is required
   

Relevant Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a ScrumMaster, Product Owner, RTE, or Kanban Coach
• Experience working with multiple Agile teams working from a single product backlog in a scaled environment
• Experience with tools such as Azure Dev Ops (ADO), Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
• Experience querying data and building reports using PowerBI
• Certifications from Scrum.org, PMI, SAFe, Scrum Alliance, LeSS, or similar
• Experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
• Expert understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and what makes them different.
• Expert understanding of project management principles and practices
• Experience overseeing multiple cross-functional teams with at least 5-7 team members each
• Airline or travel industry experience is helpful
• Strong technical skills & understanding of cloud computing services
