Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features, fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance, and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. As a senior leader, you scope will include multiple projects and encompass all aspects of delivery, including the CI/CD process and tooling, release process deliverables, architecture and customer situations. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and you'll be working closely with fellow developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations.

The role seeks good levels of personal organisation and the ability to work well within a distributed global team in a fast paced and exciting environment. You will be office based, working with senior software engineers who will help you integrate into the team, the department and wider IBM. You will be joining a development squad following Design Thinking and Agile principles where you are expected to collaboratively develop creative solutions. The work can be varied, flexibility to learn new technologies and skills is key as we look look to help grow your career within IBM. A positive attitude and a passion to succeed is essential in joining a high performing software development team at IBM.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of overall experience in full stack development.
• 10+ years of application development with Java/Python development.
• Excellent understanding of system design, development, integration and best practices.
• Expertise in OpenShift or Kubernetes, and Cloud service providers.
• Experience using cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure/IBM Cloud)
• Expertise with Git and Jira
• Highly experienced in Agile Methodologies
• Experience with Ansible and Shell scripting
• Proficient in Linux administration.
• Design functional DevOps application lifecycle. Good understanding of
• CICD pipelines such as Jenkins and be ready for a shift towards SPS.
• Knowledge of Generative AI Frameworks and ability to integrate AI functionalities to applications.
• Knowledge of Mongo DB
• Knowledge and experience with at least one of the following RDBMS,
• Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL Server
• Ability to learn new technologies but above all, have desire to document and not just train but enable others in above or any newly learned technologies."

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• IBM Maximo family of products
• SQL
• WebSphere Application Server or similar technologies
• Knowledge of Salesforce as a ticketing system (CSP)
• Ability to pick up and shift towards new areas based on business requirements
• Monitoring and analytics of cloud instance(s) expenditure and cost reduction
