We are actively recruiting for a Senior Software Developer to assist and work closely with the government in the proper design, development, and deployment activities related to Operations and Maintenance of a broad range of existing systems. This position works within our Changeis Technical Development team to develop solutions to ensure we meet our client’s business needs utilizing services, platforms, infrastructure, etc. This position develops and applies advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces and applications, and solutions. Responsible for design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture. Capable of leading major phases of projects. Responsibilities can include systems and network architecture design, systems design engineering and integration, network engineering, systems development, applications programming and development, certification and authentication, database design and administration, enterprise architecture integration, information assurance, identity protection, and access management. Technical expertise is required to leverage the process, tools, methods and philosophies of Micro/mini services, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, iterative improvements, quality code measures, containerization, automated testing and deployment.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Become familiar with a broad range of architectures and technologies in use with our client.
• Analyze, Design, Implement, Test and perform release activities for system updates as prioritized.
• Adhere to quality standards for all phases of the Agile methodology used by the Operations and Maintenance team.
• Provide recommendations for incremental improvements to processes and procedures involved with the Agile methodology used.
• Update documentation, including architectural, security, operational guides, user guides as required
• Be available to the client to assist with backlog refinement and prioritization activities.

 Requirements:

• U.S. Work Authorization
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business Administration or Management-related field, or equivalent experience.
• At minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (within a US Federal organization preferred)
• Certifications related to the specific position are equivalent to 2 years of experience
• Experience with many of the following technologies:
  • Platforms (WebMethods, WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache, TomEE, Node, Podman)
  • AWS Cloud Services (S3, Lambda, Cognito, Route 53, API Gateway, etc.)
  • Languages (.NET, .NET Core, Java, PHP, Delphi, PL/SQL, TypeScript, XML/XSL/XSD)
  • Frameworks (ReactUI, Apache FOP, Oracle Reports, etc.)
  • Database (Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB)
  • Protocols (LDAP, OIDC/OAuth, HTTP, SFTP)
  • Federal Partner Interfaces (USPS, Login.gov, Pay.gov, MyAccess)
• Experience with Department of Transportation systems preferred
