ZS's Connected Health Platform is designed to harmonize patient data from multiple sources into a single standards-conformant data structure, keeps patients engaged and connected throughout their care journey, and creates customized experiences and workflows. The Platform powers digital health solutions across the globe and the healthcare spectrum, including clinical trials, digital therapeutics, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) applications, and next-generation patient support hubs.

We're hiring Senior or Lead (depending on experience, skills, and knowledge) Software Engineer who is a strong frontend, backend or full stack developer to join our product team, solving hard challenges that patients face with digital health solutions.

What You'll Do

• Work with a team of smart, driven globally experienced and globally distributed engineers designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using object oriented and service-oriented technologies
• Take ownership of technical delivery of key features, working with members of cross-functional teams on a sprint by sprint basis
• Write software and perform code reviews while also supporting the team with technical leadership beyond development
• Create software architecture designs working with the architect
• Contribute to product roadmap working with product, UX, and QA team members
• Mentor other members of the team and support their professional growth
• Interact with relevant stakeholders and end users to understand needs and how best to keep them engaged while using our products and services

What You'll Bring

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A determination to learn and grow your skills and capabilities - everyone has something to learn, and something to teach
• 4+ years' experience with commercial-grade software development
• Understand the full stack of modern software applications - from the UI down to the infrastructure and networking layers
• Ability to learn from as well as to teach others around you
• Experience with modern technology best practices, including testing and CI
• Experience programming with JavaScript/TypeScript and working with databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of OOAD, UML, Agile and Design Patterns
• Experience in a regulated environment where security and compliance are front and center is a plus

Technical qualifications (your focus might be frontend, backend, or full stack):

Frontend

• JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem development
• CSS and ecosystem of tooling (e.g., SCSS/SASS, scoped CSS)
• UI Component Libraries (using and building components, e.g., Mantine, Tailwind)
• UI Frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte)

Backend

• JavaScript/TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem
• Backend application frameworks (Next.js, NestJS, Feathers.js, Koa)
• Experience with modern architecture including cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, eventing/queues, and microservices

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of mobile development technologies would be an asset - native or hybrid
• Ability to multitask, absorb modern technologies, and work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
• Ability to work with business clients, facilitating discussions, and assimilating processes, issues and needs
• A keen sense of ownership and accountability; "can do" attitude
