Senior Solutions Architect/System Engineer, Senior Principal (Electronic Warfare/Spectrum Dominance) - 37173

Job Description

The Alion CTO office is seeking a market making technology leader to engage with clients to develop next generation electronic warfare system concepts and system solutions to achieve spectrum dominance for clients across the Department of Defense. The objective for this technical leader is to conceive and architect disruptive approaches to EW and tactical spectrum dominance for a portfolio of DoD clients and missions. Projects range from small edge systems to globally networked constellations of assets. The portfolio of spectrum dominance projects will include advanced sensing, novel spectrum utilization, edge signal processing and data management, security techniques, and advanced communications methods needed to understand and prevail under a wide range of operational conditions.

The candidate should possess a strong understanding of current DoD communications, EW capabilities, and spectrum management practices while also understanding modern commercial technologies used in SW defined radio communications, 5G communications, IoT, PNT, cloud computing, encryption, and autonomous control systems.

Duties:

As Senior Solution Architect the candidate will develop advanced concepts to win RDTE contracted work and system integration contracts with Alion business groups. The candidate will support business groups in the identification and execution of local IRAD projects related to the domain.

Required Skills:

Education: BS Engineering or Science, Advanced Engineering Degree preferred

10 Years' experience as a system development or integration engineer

10 Years' experience as a Senior Systems Engineer

Experience with modern system engineering process practices

Experience in leading technical projects with DoD Program Management guidelines

Security Clearance Required: TS with SCI eligibility
