We seek a highly experienced Senior Technical Writer with exceptional writing skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing with a focus on software documentation. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Senior Technical Writer will create and maintain technical documentation for the Magnite Help Center, including user manuals, help files, and release notes. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, as this position will require working closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with changing priorities and deadlines.
In this role you will:

• Lead the practice of technical writing at Magnite, including building the information architecture, documentation standards, and templates and setting principles for user-friendly guidance of highly technical products
• Create content by developing and deploying technical and user documentation for each of Magnite's technology platforms that blends writing and creative content production like audio, video, diagrams, tables, code snippets, etc.
• Build, manage, and grow the content management system that houses all of the technical and user documentation, including understanding usage metrics to drive growth in customer usage over time
• Collaborate with product marketers, product managers, engineers, sales, and key business stakeholders

We're looking for someone with:

• 5 years of experience creating technical documentation and user guides for support teams and clients
• An understanding of programmatic advertising is a plus.
• Experience with building and enforcing information architecture
• Experience in technical writing and user documentation, building technical writing standards
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Docs & Google Sheets) and Asana a plus
• Experience with content management systems like Zendesk, Knowledge Owl, Atlassian Confluence, and LearnUpon
• Deep experience hanging out in the technical details and proactively partnering with Product Management, Sales Engineering, and Account Management
• Understanding programming languages and software development processes can be a significant advantage.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language.
• Strong ability to lead through influence, debate, and storytelling.
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties

In California, the base salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $113,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
In Colorado, the base salary range for this position is: $80,000 - $103,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
In New York, the base salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $113,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
