Summary Â
CAE USA, Defense & Security welcomes experienced engineers in aerospace and software engineering to help train U.S. Armed Forces and those of our partners around the world. This is a rewarding mission you will be proud to support. Â
You will design, develop, test, and integrate real-time aero and aircraft systems simulations for military training devices. This is a hands-on, full life cycle software engineering position for software engineers who desire to grow their skills and career beyond traditional boundaries while creating enduring solutions for a truly meaningful purpose. Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Â

Design, develop, integrate, and test Targeting Pod and Electronic Warfare models to meet customer requirementsÂ
-
Demonstrate strong analytical, applied math, and problem solving skillsÂ
-
Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks within budget and schedule commitmentsÂ
-
Work with senior engineers to understand tasking and complete work with a limited amount of directionÂ
-
Work within and positively contribute to a team environmentÂ
-
Maintain, upgrade, and improve existing Targeting Pod and Electronic Warfare modelsÂ
-
Analyze legacy Targeting Pod and Electronic Warfare models to understand existing functionality and modify to support new requirementsÂ
Qualifications and Education Requirements Â
-
DoD Secret Clearance is requiredÂ
-
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to the start of employment.Â
-
Ability to obtain an elevated clearance is requiredÂ
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplineÂ
-
2 to 5 years of relevant experienceÂ
-
Candidate should be a fast learner with very strong analytical and problem-solving skillsÂ
-
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming techniques and design patternsÂ
-
Experience with developing software for LinuxÂ
-
Ability to carry tasks through to completion with only general technical directionÂ
-
Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
-
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Â

Familiarity with FORTRAN, AdaÂ

Knowledge of Targeting Pod and/or Electronic Warfare modelsÂ

Security Responsibilities Â
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.  Â

 Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Â
