SERVICE TECHNICIAN - ONTARIO BEER OPERATIONS

About You

Your technical proficiency and problem-solving skills, focus on customer service and overall focus on brand quality will assure our consumers experience the best possible product when visiting our partner licensee locations.

As a member of our team, you will be Diageo's ambassador for full beer & spirits portfolio in the on-premise trade.

Responsibilities:
  • Regular preventative maintenance of draught beer equipment in trade
  • Assess and audit brand quality in the field
  • Responsible for geographic account base of approximately 140-180 customer locations in a thorough and consistent rotation within a 30-45 day period
  • Timely response to installation and emergency repair requests
  • Advise customers of work performed or required to maintain draught beer systems
  • Maintain and submit records for all work performed
  • Co-ordinate with Operations Manager(s) and other team members to deliver on key business objectives
  • Occasional delivery of products to customer location and a backup resource to keg delivery team when required
  • Pick up COD payments and submit to office as instructed
  • Follow all company safety and quality assurance guidelines
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner, zero tolerance for aggressive or impaired driving
  • General upkeep and safety checks of assigned company vehicle(s)
  • Handle in-vehicle parts and materials inventory
  • Understand and adhere to all internal policies (Code of Business Conduct)
  • Promote Responsible Drinking in and out of the workplace


Relationships:
  • Ontario Beer Operations team (Management, Customer Service, Service Technicians, Delivery and Warehouse personnel)
  • Ontario Sales / Marketing team
  • Ontario customer base (approximately 1800+ licensees)


Required Experience / Skills / Capabilities:
  • First class customer service skills based on genuine passion for our brands
  • Valid Ontario Class G License (or DZ an asset) and clean Drivers Abstract
  • Ability to locate customer sites within Ontario
  • Minimum 1-year external experience in draught equipment service OR 8-12 week minimum training period (in house) with skills evaluations and development
  • Some technical skillsets from other industries are highly transferrable
  • Strong problem solving and technical abilities around installation, maintenance, and repair of draught beer equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Proficient and flexible in time management
  • Adaptable to changes in business requirements
  • Strong evaluation and record keeping skills
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours as required
  • Capable of working in a mobile environment with little supervision
  • Physical ability and willingness to assist in product delivery
  • Ability to make discretionary decisions appropriately
