About the Role

Magna/Cosma Eagle Bend Manufacturing, a leading Tier 1 Automobile Manufacturer, is seeking an experience Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the efficient movement of materials within our manufacturing facility.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure shipment of finished product to meet customer requirements
• Maintain all storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion
• Assist with monthly, weekly, and daily inventories
• Ensure ASN's (Advance Shipment Notices) are sent as required by customer
• Ensure timely transportation of product to and from sub-contractors
• Supervise Material Handlers (assigned to Shipping & Receiving department)
• Advise employees, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health, and ensure the necessary training and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.
• Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.
• Know, follow and enforce all applicable SH&E Policies and Procedures.
• Help manage Safety Performance Measurable s such as Incident Rate, Monthly Inspection Results and EOS scores. Overall performance to the measurable elements of our SH&E system are part of annual performance reviews.
• Perform Weekly Safety Meetings as defined by the Weekly Safety Topics Program

• Able to safely operate an overhead crane/chain sling
• Must have accuracy and attention to detail is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities for various customers (internal & external
• Excellent organizational ability
• Ability to evaluate Team Member performance and address discipline issues

Your preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT (Department Of Transportation) regulations for over-the-road carriers
• EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for ASN's (Advance Shipment Notices)
• 2- 3 Years shipping and receiving supervisor experience
• Shipping and Receiving Inventory
• Warehouse in a Tier 1 Automotive Environment
