Job Description Summary

Responsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. This position is for Site Manager for Electrical Transmission Substation Project. Location Shall be anywhere in India.

• Activities related to Civil Construction from Project inception till Closure, working under the direction of Senior Management. Has to lead subcontactors as per the Project requirement.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and will be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
• Very sensitive towards Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and should implement good EHS practices at site. Educate other towards adherence to GE EHS policies and procedures.
• Should have good knowledge to maintain quality requirements as per Field Quality Plan / Technical Specifications. Should have enough knowledge to identify the gaps in Engineering Drawings before taking up for execution and also capable to correlate the Civil & electrical Drawings well in advance to avoid rework.
• Should be capable of understanding the legal / statutory documents as per labor laws and maintaining the documents as per standards and procedures
• Should follow the Project Schedule for Site Execution and needs to communicate with other stakeholders to achieve the project progress as per project schedule.
• Has to own responsibility of Site Activities and shall be accountable for whole site management.
• Should be sensitive towards Key Performance Indicators defined during project life cycle.
• Should possess good communication skills in order to achieve the Project timelines
• Progress Reporting should be as per Project requirement
• Must be capable to deliver the project in challenging circumstances specially in Fast Track Projects.

• This position is for Site Leader (Site Manager / Site Incharge) for Electrical Transmission Substation Project. Location Shall be anywhere in India.
• This role requires Good Site Experience in the Civil Construction in Electrical Substation Works (Transmission)
• Qualification required for this position is Bachelor of Engineering / Technology Degree from an accredited university or college in Civil Engineering.
• Must have Work experience of 9-10 Years in Civil Construction

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
