Site Manufacturing Science and Technology Lead

Summary

Manufacturing Science and Technology Lead will be responsible from below activities by leading MS&T function to provide guidance, direction and support to obtain the operative excellence of our processes, products, materials, technologies and develop talents within the site, in direct collaboration with the rest of Process Units (production) and Support Functions within the frame ruled by GMP, HSE and internal regulations. This position will report to Site Head Kurtkoy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads the Site's MS&T organization, which is responsible to maintain and improve the scientific oversight of the manufacturing processes and technical changes, the relevant technical knowledge and capabilities at the Site and to ensure the product and technical stewardship, across process units and functions at Site
• Establish coordination and benchmarking between other sites in Novartis Network, Pharma Industry and scientific environment in order to stimulate and extend the knowledge increasing the know-how of the associates and expand it to the rest of the organization.
• Lead standardization and optimization criteria of key technical processes
• Feasibility studies for investment in Technology, Processing and Packaging equipment
• Lead and drive launches and transfer projects from setting strategy to completion and successfully handover

Essential Requirements:

• BS degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Chemistry
• Fluency in English is required
• 10 years or more experience in related field in a pharmaceutical production environment, where at least 2 years of managerial experience is preferred
• Excellent management and leadership skills
• Strong pharmaceutical technology knowledge
• Highly capable on communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
