Your Contribution

Reporting to the Head of Wineries and working closely with our Chief Winemaker you will be responsible for all winemaking and laboratory operations at our Kim Crawford (KC) Winery. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to developing the wine style and quality required for Sauvignon Blanc at KC Winery
• Develop plans for the winemaking team to deliver such activities as the bottling schedule and dispatch.
• Quality and Compliance standards: Manage and audit BRC and any other wine quality control systems in the winery for fruit picking through to bottling.
• Contribute to the annual harvest planning and logistics process and assist with wider needs as required
• Provide input into the long term/annual operating and vintage plans

About you

• Oenological or related Food Science degree/diploma
• Minimum 5 years Winemaking Experience
• Experience in management of winery operations
• Demonstrated history of effective people management and leadership
• A demonstrated understanding of BRC or similar Wine Quality Management systems
• Comfortable with public speaking
