ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Smart Contract Engineer to join our brand new Integrations team at LayerZero, where you'll play a crucial role in helping partners build on LayerZero. You will be tasked with developing and deploying custom implementations of our OFT/OAPP contract standards on behalf of our largest partners. Additionally, you will build tools to improve the deployment process and help our partners manage their implementation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work closely with our largest partners to develop and deploy custom implementations of LayerZero's OFT/OAPP contract standards, ensuring seamless integration with their existing systems
• Engage with external partners to understand their technical needs and provide expert guidance on integrating LayerZero's protocol, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Create and maintain robust tools to streamline the smart contract deployment process, enhancing efficiency and reliability for both internal teams and external partners
• Quickly adapt to and integrate LayerZero's protocol with multiple blockchain platforms, including but not limited to Ethereum, Solana, Sui, and Aptos
• Develop comprehensive test scripts and deployment pipelines using Typescript/Javascript, Hardhat, and Foundry, ensuring all smart contract implementations meet LayerZero's high standards of quality and compliance
• Provide detailed technical support for partners, helping them manage their implementations and troubleshoot any issues, while also communicating complex technical information clearly and effectively

ABOUT YOU

• Proficiency in blockchain technologies and smart contract development
• Experience deploying smart contracts on Ethereum or other blockchain platforms
• Ability to quickly ramp up on multiple chains and associated technologies, including but not limited to Rust (Solana), Move (Sui & Aptos)
• Proficiency in building test and deploy scripts in Typescript/Javascript
• Experience using Hardhat or Foundry, ideally both
• Strong operational awareness and ability to hit tight deadlines
• Ability to build tooling to optimize deployment process
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to external partners
