Job Description
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state.
New York Independent System Operator, Inc. (NYISO) seeks a Software Developer for its Albany, New York (Rensselaer) location. This position is responsible for supporting and participating in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, assist in the research of new technologies and collaborate with Project Managers, as well as participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation for production applications.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Two (2) years’ experience as a software developer to include experience with the following technologies: AWS CLI, Cloud formation, Jenkins, Cloud watch, AWS Management console, Chef, VPC.
