Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Blockchain support engineer you will use agile methodologies to work on key components of Hyperledger Fabric which underpins both Blockchain Platform and Blockchain Transparent Supply Chain which is in turn consumed by both Blockchain Solutions (eg IBM Food Trust) and the Supply Chain Intelligence Suite – AI Apps leading edge product portfolio. In order to do this you will be working in teams that span the entire organisation and will need to employ your excellent skills in problem solving for speedy resolution of customer raised issues and to work with our partners in GBS on key customer projects. You will also need to use your software development and testing skills to help in the advancement of the Hyperledger Fabric components. The role will require the ability to work on-call and shift rotations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experienced support engineers with key skills in L3 Support and software development. Deep knowledge of Blockchain is not essential but a passion for learning and an interest in this new technology would be benefical.

• 4+ years of software support experience and/or software development
• Good customer experience as the main requirement of this role will be to work on the support elements of our products and to provide direct help to customers.
• Software engineer with Go experience (or other server side development experience) is also preferred as there will be a requirement to work on the development and testing elements of our products.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience/Qualifications in some of the following:
• Customer support (L2 L3 DevOps SRE)
• Hyperledger Fabric (or other blockchain) development architecture integration application experience
• Distributed transaction processing or database systems
• Kubernetes and Docker
• IBM Cloud and RedHat Openshift (or other Cloud technologies and strategies)
• Networking and security including PKI PKCS11 Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
• Continuous Integration and automation skills including GitHub Actions
