Job Description
Allstate Roadside Services (ARS) is recruiting senior software engineer to join our Engineering team in Pune. Our common goal is to build digital products that support the strategy of Allstate Roadside Services, a division within the Allstate brand that provides roadside rescues for our customers. Driving quality by leveraging test-driven development with continuous integration & continuous delivery is key to our engineering approach. We value independent thinking and continuously learning technology skills to build digital products that will fundamentally change safety on the roadways for drivers who need an immediate rescue.

Someone to be responsible for the development and maintenance of Salesforce applications. The primary focus will be custom Salesforce development and integration with third-party services. Individual Contributor that are working with other engineers and developers on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the impact of new requirements on the existing platform as well as all upstream and downstream applications, systems, integrations, and processes.
• Design, develop, and customize Salesforce solutions on force.com platform using Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, other Salesforce technologies, and application integration patterns.
• Build integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
• Perform independent code reviews and write unit/integration test cases to achieve 85% test coverage.
• Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to analyze business requirements and architect/estimate solutions at various scales.
• Solid understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
• Partner with cross-divisional product and technical teams to evaluate, scope, design, prioritize, and complete new platform development in support of organizational strategic priorities; collaborate to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions.
• Perform code reviews, that contribute to iterative improvement of tools, automation and practices used by team.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings, assist in defining user stories, identify/resolve gaps in functional user stories/business requirements.
