Responsibilities:
- Partner with product managers and principal software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designs
- Proactively troubleshoot applications and identify performance and availability issues providing effective options for resolution
- Tune performance and resolve availability issues of product or service and its dependencies
- Increase code quality through writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Collaborate with other software engineers and teams on code reviews, development infrastructure, and process enhancements
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience collaborating in a team environment shipping software
- Proficient creating applications and features in an object-oriented environment (Python Preferred)
- Proficiency developing containerized applications (especially docker)
- Working experience with database objects in relational database (i.e., Postgres and Snowflake) and non-relational database (i.e., MongoDB)
- Experience with continuous integration systems (i.e., Jenkins, Argo, Travis, CircleCI)
- Proficient with version control systems (i.e., Git, GitHub, TFS, etc.)
- Exposure and/or understanding to REST API development and deployment such as FastAPI
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency developing and deploying applications on Kubernetes
- Experience working with workflow orchestration or DAG tools such as Airflow
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience working on remote-first teams
