ResMed SaaS is looking for an innovative and driven Software Engineering Manager responsible for helping support our Platform Interoperability teams. In this role you will be managing software development teams and technologies as we support and modernize our interoperability capabilities. You will work with product teams to integrate internal systems to our platform, customers, and partners.

Let's talk about Responsibilities:

• Lead teams of engineers through mentoring, coaching, and management support to deliver software of excellence in a high-volume transaction environment

• Participate in architectural design and coordinate with other software engineering managers as necessary for a consistent approach within the suite of applications.

• Strong emphasis on availability, scalability, and performance on the different areas of our SDLC: coding, code review, performance testing & observability.

• Coordinate the timing of projects with global teams to get the most effective use of all resources.

• Some off-hour work may be necessary for software releases to the production software environment and operational support.

• Conduct code reviews, development, and testing as necessary and grows the technical expertise of your team around operational excellence, quality, performance, and security.

• Communicate project status internally and externally with all stakeholders.

• Work with Product Management and Product Owners to refine requirements.

• Participate in all aspects of the agile process including, but not limited to story reviews, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

• Consistently strive to improve processes and communications.

• Work with customers, external partners, and vendors to determine implementation for interoperability using industry standards.

• Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare industry standards.

Let's talk about qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or work experience.

• 3+ years of experience leading, coaching, and mentoring software engineering resources, preferably for a software company using Microsoft technologies in a web-based application.

• Strong project management skills that translate into the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.

• Ability to coordinate activities, meetings, and milestones between multiple parties.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience designing and developing large-scale applications in an agile environment.

• 5+ years of experience with relational database servers (TSQL/SQL) in a high-volume transaction environment.

• Strong OO knowledge and practical experience with design patterns.

• Practical experience with source code configuration, versioning, and promotion.

• Excellent problem solving, issue identification, and technical documentation skills.

• Ability to accept and act upon criticism in a positive manner.

• Ability to self-direct effectively prioritize tasks, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

• Ability to work with a distributed team, deal with multiple stakeholders and drive prioritization.

Preferred but not required qualifications and experience:

• Knowledge of the healthcare market, including the value chain, market dynamics and the political and regulatory landscape.

• Experience working with healthcare standards such as HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, CCDA, NCPDP, etc.).

• Experience working with Out-of-Hospital provider, EHR / HIE technology, interoperability & implementation experience.

• Experience working in environments with a DevOps Culture and exposure to Continuous Delivery is a great plus

• Experience working in a SaaS model.

• Some travel may be required.
