Software Engineering Senior Advisor-Hybrid

The Pricing and Underwriting area within Evernorth/PBM has an opening for a Software Engineering Senior Advisor. The team is seeking a candidate who should have strong Java development skills but also be able to spend half of their time with business analysts and business product owners, to thoroughly understand the needs of the business. The Pricing and Underwriting domain is complex and underwriting rules and logic requires a strong understanding of the business. We are seeking an employee who is a hot shot REACT.js and JavaScript developer. Come with solid skills and experience in those areas and you will be welcomed into the team with open arms :-). But for this senior advisor position we also need more. Bring additional skills to the table - like team building or s/w design or strong systems analysis skills. Any of these skills (and other unnamed skills) that will complement the team will be a bonus! We need an employee who is ready to move to the next level and will help their teammates do the same. We seek to bring in diversified talent that will enable us to improve our software and our software development process while gaining critical leadership skills necessary to advance in the company.

• 4+ years of UI development experience using REACT
• 4+ core JavaScript development experience
• The above years on top of foundational years of experience in web developement
• Strong SQL skills - queries, complex joins, ability to design tables in Oracle SQL and experience with stored procedures and triggers.
• knowledge of OpenShift, containers, Cloud Bees Orchestrator/Jenkins, CI/CD
• Ability to help TPOs or business analysts translate business requirements into JIRA stories.
• Ability to ask questions, learn a critical business domain - Pricing & Underwriting.
• Follow the SAFe Agile process - Sprints, PIs, and scrum ceremonies.
• Lead a team of developers to design, implement and test code.
• In a Senior Advisor role, the candidate is expected to show leadership and guide other developer while also completing their sprint objectives and implement quality code.
