 SOLUTIONS ENGINEER

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Solutions Engineer will partner with internal and external teams to develop scalable, flexible, and custom solutions to meet our customer’s business needs. This position will provide technical expertise to the sales team to support them in business development. A key part of the role will be translating business requirements into technical solutions, and communicating complex technical concepts into simple language. The Solutions Engineer will work to balance various aspects of the project, from design to implementation. You will support our sales team & customers through the full sales cycle, assisting with pre-sales technical knowledge and presentations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Build and integrate systems to meet the client’s needs.
• Actively listen to client problems and implement that information when creating solution plans
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
• Consistently monitor the scope of projects
• Provide the Architecture/ high-level design documents.
• Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution
• Be the primary source for sales to gather technical requirements for prospect or client
• Help sales and clients through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in-person meetings
• Produce client vision with a high-level description of possible technology solutions accompanied by an estimate of labor (in hours) to deliver the described vision.
• Work with Operations to ensure proper estimation of effort & appropriate description of the project to make the transition from sales to operation smooth
• Responsible for all proposal templates and documentation for proposals
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience 
• Basic coding skills: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• A good understanding of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, and application servers
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work under indirect supervision
• Technically creative and open-minded
• Proven working experience in enterprise technical projects or IT projects
