Job Description

Nokia of America Corporation, SON - Solution Engineer, (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ.

SALARY RANGE: $137,114 - $166,400 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Responsibilities

Nokia of America Corporation, SON - Solution Engineer, (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ. Perform installation and commissioning of Self Optimizing Network (SON) products and systems. Participate in SON product software upgrades and ensure 24x7 end-to-end technical support. Maintain lab servers to proper hardware, software and firmware levels for use in testing and problem-solving scenarios. Troubleshoot issues, conduct knowledge sharing sessions, and determine need for technical escalations. Implement continuous improvement practices for SON products and related systems to address high process efficiencies. Provide on-site support for SON products when needed. Implement proactive measures to address customer concerns. Participate in customer and internal meetings representing Nokia SON / Network Management team. Create and deliver Methods of Procedures (M.O.P) to the customer. Adhere to customer response times per Service Level Agreements. #LI-DNI

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of post-Bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: Technologies and protocols: Networking, GSM, UMTS, VoLTE/IMS (Protocol Stacks, Call Flows, Architectures), DIAMETER, XCAP, LDAP, IPv4/v6, TCP, IP, and DNS; Mongo DB, MySQL; Scripting Languages: Shell, POSIT, or Python; Protocols: MEGACO, and SIP.

Domestic travel is required up to 50%.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted, depending on business need.
