The PositionS&OP Demand Planning Executive

Job Summary

Be responsible for the performance of domestic and international carriers and logistics intermediaries.
Ensure compliance with international and domestic laws related to import/export activity.
Evaluate tradeoffs between transportation cost, inventory cost and service levels.
Develop logistics strategies and processes for entering new markets.
Develop, solicit and maintain contracts and services for private rail car fleet, barge services, vessel chartering, stevedoring, maritime insurance and domestic rail rates.
Supervise the unloading and transfer of imported bulk cargo.
Coordinate raw material shipments and supplies to manufacturing sites.
Establish most efficient route and mode of shipping finished goods to customers.
Manage off site workhouses.
Accountable for Customer satisfaction through OTIF
Responsible for the negotiation of freight rates for ocean, barge, truck, and rail shipments.
