What You'll Do:

Traeger is currently seeking a Sourcing Engineer with a comprehensive grasp of electronic and electrical components, industry standards and compliance requirements. In this role, you will manage procurement processes for electronic components, negotiate contracts, and optimize costs. You will also establish and maintain supplier relationships and ensure reliability. Additionally, you’ll conduct market research, analyze trends, and mitigate risks to inform sourcing and supply planning decisions.

How You Will Help Us Win:

• Understanding of electronic and electrical components, including semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors, PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards), and other related technologies. 
• Familiarity with industry standards, specifications, and compliance requirements for electronic and electrical components. 
• Strong background in procurement and strategic sourcing within the electronics industry. 
• Experience in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with electronic component suppliers. 
• Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics for electronic and electrical components. 
• Understanding of cost drivers and the ability to implement cost-saving strategies. 
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with electronic component suppliers. 
• Experience in evaluating and selecting reliable and high-quality suppliers. 
• Capability to manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and overall reliability. 
• Conducting market research to stay informed about electronic industry trends, emerging technologies, and pricing dynamics. 
• Analyzing market conditions and supplier capabilities to make informed sourcing decisions. 
• Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
• Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and providing procurement support.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Electronics industry working with international ODM/JDM contract manufacturers for consumer products and Electronics component distributors.   
• Ability to read and interpret ‘Bill of Materials’ (BOM), engineering drawings, Gerber files, engineering change notifications and related technical data.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
• Implementing project management principles to ensure smooth procurement processes for electronic and electrical components. 
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with electronic component suppliers. 
• Proactive problem-solving ability to address challenges in the procurement process. 
• Critical thinking to evaluate and make decisions based on data and analysis. 
• Adherence to ethical standards in procurement practices. 
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the electronics and electrical components industry. 
• Commitment to continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier relationships. 
• Willingness to explore and implement innovative approaches to enhance efficiency within the electronics and electrical components supply chain.
