OnsiteCollins Aerospace is offering a summer internship tailored toward those attending Iowa schools who are interested in a career related to space!We are seeking qualified candidates for an intern systems engineer in our Space Solutions Systems Engineering group within the Advanced Datalink Systems department. This role would be onsite in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa location. The systems team that you would be working with is composed of cross-functional engineers working in an Agile environment (approximately 6-10 people) focused on the design and development of space communication products. - Work closely with a highly motivated and dedicated team of professionals supporting Datalinks product development efforts, helping to provide security enabled solutions to our channel facing partners.
- Participate in the systems development lifecycle, including trade study execution, system design, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirement traceability, systems integration, verification testing and qualification.
- Collaborate across many engineering disciplines to execute program milestones
- You will gain technical experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to established engineers within Mission Systems that will help advance your career.
- You will obtain invaluable experience working with our radio subject matter experts in addition to security and crypto certification specialists, our customer base, and cross-functional integrated product team.

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Strong Preference for current DoD Secret Clearance.
- Familiarity with comm engineering architectures (e.g: general radio transceiver architectures/designs, basic radio functional component blocks, performance specifications and test methodologies)
- Strong communication and leadership skills, experience presenting technical data

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
