Position Overview

The Finance & Accounts team, located in Kennesaw, Georgia, is seeking a Sr Accountant. The person in this role will report to the Manager, Accounting R&D. The ideal candidate will be responsible for or month-end close, quarter/year-end reporting requirements, intercompany transactions, cash, fixed asset, and balance sheet reconciliations. This position will work with several tools, including many applications within SAP, OneStream, and Hyperion Financial Management.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Supports the monthly close process, including journal entries and general ledger review
• Performs a variety of task to complete accounting functions in support of the department(s)
• Reconciles, researches, and resolves discrepancies with minimal assistance
• Prepares journal entries
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations via OneStream analysis tool
• Accountable for all aspects of fixed assets, including but not limited to monitoring a system of controls, procedures and forms for recording fixed assets
• Track the compilation of project cost into fixed asset accounts and close out projects once completed
• Suggests process improvement and system enhancements that will increase efficiency and/or mitigate risk for the organization; including support process documentation
• Work on special projects and analysis as needed, including assistance with any ad hoc reporting requests

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
• Minium of 5 years of accounting experience
• Experience working within a large, multi-national company
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with SAP
• Proficiency with MS Office
• High level of motivation and dedicated individual

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA track highly preferred
• Fixed asset experience
• Cash reconciliation experience
• Experience with Hyperion
• Experience with international operations and foreign exchange
