The person hired for the position of Sr. Software Engineer will be the lead developer for the NLP Operations team. We’re looking for passionate developers to join our engineering team, where each team member has a meaningful impact on product features. The product team is small, lean, and fast where you will be challenged daily in a high-tech, agile and fun work environment. Day-to-day work follows a scrum team approach to developing leading edge cloud based enterprise software. We are a team that is dedicated to innovate, create and appreciate the team members that work here.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• building and scaling highly complex NLP AI tools suite. You will build the system grounds up by architecting next generations of NLP tools. The ideal candidate will be creative, out-of-box problem-solver, eager to work alongside data scientists, engineers, and NLP content developers to get things done.

• Develop and deploy machine learning / deep learning pipelines on Amazon Web Services leveraging AWS components like Sagemaker, Lambda, S3 and Redshift.

• Build highly scalable and distributed microservices that can process large data sets in real-time

• Write high-quality unit tested code that will run in a continuous delivery pipeline

• Work on a scrum team to meet the goals that the Product Owner defines for weekly sprints

• Innovate company IP for NLP ML tools

Your Skills and Expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university and 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 3 years of experience with a JavaScript framework such as Angular

• 1 years of experience with Kafka

• 5 years of microservice architectures, principles and patterns

• Experience with Containerization, preferably Docker

• Experience in elastic cloud computing environments such as Amazon AWS or Azure

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience working with data scientists and AI/ML applications

• Experience with infrastructure as code

• Experience with technical leadership

• Experience building large-scale enterprise software systems

• Python experience

• Material Design experience

• Amazon QuickSight

• Version control system like Git

• Experience in automated testing, deploying CI/CD pipelines

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
