Meet the team:
The strategy organization at Dexcom is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Strategic Intelligence. The candidate will be based in San Diego .
Success in this position will require a problem-solving orientation and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team. The candidate will work across departments to advance strategic initiatives, including conducting and reporting on healthcare research, crafting internal communications, and supporting the development of presentations.
Professional Individual Contributor - Provides support for the Strategic Insights function through research and analysis of the company's markets, competition and product mix both US markets and International markets. Researches and makes presentations on new market areas and trends. Analyzes the competitive environment and future trends and makes recommendations based on findings. May publish regular updates on market conditions and trends to track company progress in specialized market niches or product technology disciplines.
Where you come in:
- Research and complete strategic competitive analysis across a variety of health sensing and healthcare spaces.
- Support the development of Strategic Intelligence report-outs.
- Conduct secondary research, and synthesize findings into actionable, strategic recommendations
- Build and maintain a broad network of internal experts / collaborators to enable relevant, meaningful, and timely insights
- Attend relevant industry conferences and webinars, reporting on high-level, strategically aligned findings
- Capture and upload insights into internal database.
- Support the development of market opportunity analyses, strategy decks.
- Simplify and analyze information to drive better-informed decisions about product development and market opportunities.
- Support the development of market opportunity evaluations and analyses that are beneficial to advancing Dexcom Labs strategic objectives.
- Work with stakeholders to collect, analyze, define requirements for market level reports, and/or drill down market specific insights for US and International markets
What makes you successful:
- 5-7 years of proven success functioning in a strategy or business analyst role
- Experience in synthesizing and presenting results in a digestible, compelling way
- Willingness to learn and use different business intelligence tools and technologies
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities and skills to analyze problems and propose solutions
- Experience working with data to inform decisions
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units
- Ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously

Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.
