Job Description
Position performs routine assignments of a general professional nature requiring the use and application of fundamental concepts and practices gained from completion of Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Scope of work is of limited size and complexity requiring minimal evaluation, originality, or ingenuity. Position works under immediate supervision.
Basic understanding of Economic Value theory.
The main focus of this role includes monitoring, tracking and maintaining all Fixed Assets and Capital Project Spending. Other activities such as assistance with internal and external audits and AP duties as required.

Standard Duties :
10% Accounts Payable
- Back up to print checks, wires, ACH's, ETF's. Reverse documents as needed.
- Invoice entry
- Payment matches
- Receipt investigation
- Reply to payment inquiries
- Vendor change research
10% Audit Assistance/ Research Issues
- Back up for pulling cash from bank website, pull details from customer website, maintain customer payments cash file
- Assist finance team with supporting annual internal and external audits as it applies to fixed asset accounting
- Manage and complete bank transactions
- Manage and complete customer payments
80% Fixed Asset Accounting
- Set up internal orders based on approved appropriation requests (AR's)
- Maintenance of internal order changes and monthly reporting
- Fixed asset capitalization including asset set up, asset tagging, collecting and storage of back up purchase orders, invoices and check copies
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Monthly depreciation and construction in process journal entries
- Monthly fixed asset impairment reporting and review
- Monthly start-up account and outside services account expense account analysis
- Monthly fixed asset account reconciliations
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls as applicable to fixed asset accounting
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects as requested
Additional Information:
- Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

- All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
- Wear PPE when appropriate in designated campus areas.
- Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.

Education & Experience
- B.S. in Accounting (Finance degree is acceptable) required and a strong understanding of the accounting principles
- 2-4 years of relevant experience required
