ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented Sr.Brand Management, Independent Wireless to join the Marketing Team in Costa Mesa, CA! Individual reports to Director, Brand Independent Wireless. Role is hybrid.

This role is a hybrid opportunity that requires a local commutable distance to the HQ Costa Mesa, CA office as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Brand Manager, you will manage local marketing activities to drive traffic to the Independent Wireless channel. Working closely with the Director, Brand and the Sales Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing support tactics, including brand positioning, strategy, and messaging. You will stay on the pulse of what is happening in the wireless industry and help develop brand marketing and local marketing initiatives, focusing on reaching Hispanic-American and Asian-American consumers.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

Local Marketing Management

You know how to reach consumers best to drive brand awareness and increase conversion in support of IW Retailers through hyper-local marketing, focusing on Hispanics.

  • Develops and coordinates local marketing programs encompassing print tactics, advertising, and events for IW Retailers across the US.
  • Collaborates across cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product, Brand) to support building brand awareness, business initiatives, and brand experiences at the local level.
  • Develops local marketing programs based on retailer location, customer demographics, and localized opportunities.
  • Support the management of the local marketing platform “BrandBuilder” through template creation, site optimization, and management.
  • Develop and support the execution of integrated marketing plans that target the Hispanic consumer.

Strategic Planning and Hispanic Consumer SME

You know what makes the Hispanic audience tick and how to customize messaging to meet their needs and get the best results.

  • Focusing on consumer insights for the Hispanic consumer will contribute to developing branding, communication, and marketing efforts.
  • Collaborates across cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product, Brand) to build Hispanic customer experiences that bring out the best in the brand
  • Deep knowledge of the Hispanic consumer concerning purchase behavior, cultural influences, and language fluency.

Channel Management & Execution

Contribute and execute plans for the IW Channel, support execution, and measuring results:

  • Recommend tactical execution to support brand and product programs that leverage knowledge of consumer and shopper trends.
  •  Support executing in-store shopper experience (including messaging and merchandising) that reaches the Hispanic consumer.
  • Support overseeing the execution of advertising and merchandising creative work with internal and/ or external agencies.
  • Reports on results of Local Marketing programs, Events and Test and Learn cases, to recommend increasing ROI.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in product, project or brand management and/or equivalent combination of education.
  • Experience with hyper-local marketing, franchise and/or co-op marketing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university preferred.
  • Bi-lingual and fluent in Spanish required.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing vehicles and fundamentals.
  • Proven track record of growth success and test & learn tenacity.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities. Brings new perspectives and ideas to work.
  • Agency experience is a plus.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a matrix environment, able to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 - $120,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, and company paid holidays.  The specific programs available will vary depending on state, start date, and employment type.
