The Sr. Director of Financial Operations will be a key position within our finance organization. Reporting to the SVP Accounting the Sr. Director Financial Operations will be responsible for managing a small team (~3 FTEs) tasked with spearheading process improvements system implementations and other finance related projects that will be critical to support and enhance StackAdapt’s financial infrastructure as it continues its growth trajectory. This position will work cross functionally with various stakeholders across the organization including finance (Accounting FP&A and Tax/Treasury) people & culture operations (IT business applications procurement PMO) R&D and sales.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company we are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States or Canada for this position.
What You'll Be Doing

Main point of contact within finance responsible for working to drive critical system implementations (ERP procure to pay order to cash close management). Oversee internal and third party resources (where applicable).

Communicate and operationalize best practices as it relates to enhancing and optimizing key financial systems (Netsuite Zip Floqast Salesforce experience is highly desired) and their related processes working cross functionally with finance and other departmental stakeholders to implement changes.

Work to identify process gaps and implement process changes and enhancements geared towards shortening and strengthening the month end close process.

Work with the SVP Accounting and CFO to identify organize and prioritize various finance related projects. Maintain ownership and responsibility for tracking progress communicating status to finance and senior leadership within StackAdapt (where applicable) and driving projects to completion in a timely manner.

Responsible for driving ad-hoc projects to completion at the direction of senior finance leadership including but not limited to M&A evaluation integration building infrastructure for new products and revenue streams helping to facilitate international expansion etc.

Oversee and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the financial operations team
What You'll Bring to the Table
-
12+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance preferably within the software and technology industry with at least 5 years of management experience.

Expertise in financial systems and ability to communicate and implement best practices within systems. Experience with Netsuite highly desired.

Strong accounting skills and knowledge/proficiency of US GAAP in all core operational accounting areas (Cash AR Prepaid expenses Fixed assets AP Accrued expenses Deferred Revenue)

Experience working within a public company environment subject to the requirements of SOX 404 highly desired

Strong project management skills; ability to leverage a team of resources to drive timely project completion
