Cognizant's Global Communications team is seeking a high-energy, dynamic, business-savvy individual to lead Communications Operations to lead a team of talented process and content associates; driving both a rigorous process tied to global corporate communications and a world-class set of communications systems upon which to publish and deliver communications content.
This role, based in North America, is part of the Global Communications leadership team and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and tactics that will drive significant process improvement, ensuring both excellence and repeatability.
Key Responsibilities• Process: Lead Global Communications' efforts in establishing a measurable ROI for Communications efforts with measurement baselines & tools; as well as process improvement to ensure excellence and repeatability:
o Develop consistent and repeatable global "playbooks" - and the resource libraries upon which they are stored - for communications around:
Press releases - company, vendor, partner, industry analyst
Platforms - PR, social, owned platforms
Internal announcements - e.g executive appointments
Segmentation of internal communications delivery - right message, right audience (with an articulated strategy as to why things are done this way)
o Take leadership in "connecting the dots" among Global Communications leadership to drive a global campaign mindset, where strategic communications includes internal and external components at the outset
Consider the appropriate tools, processes and operating mechanisms to drive
tighter alignment among the functional components
o Set the strategy and manage the communications channels ecosystem. Manage a full-time content and channels team that:
Are developing and overhauling a company-wide Intranet
Identifying and managing multichannel content strategy of internal and external news
Partnering across the Global Communications team to target and deliver relevant information to regional, service line and functional teams around the world
Interface with Cognizant's CIO, technology team, on the management of communications platforms Technology: with IT, select the appropriate platform for strategic delivery• Systems: Drive improvement with a systems overhaul within internal communications:
o Provide more robust capability, reporting, contact database integrity and distribution list modularity by integrating this to HCM.
o Continue to develop more meaningful & relevant content on Be.Cognizant with both stronger publishing tools and content performance measurement• Operations: Work with the Chief Communications Officer on identifying and managing:
Annual budgeting process, including functional investment
Channel strategy and selection - the tools and their execution - for the Global Communications function
Functional strategy - how the team is run, through a lens of continuous improvement
Select internal communications projects that tie to Cognizant's business strategy

Qualifications
BASIC & PREFERRED QUALITIFICATIONS:• An agile, creative leader with experience with and insights into new and emerging trends across marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, and executive and employee communications.• 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, internal or executive communications.• Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing degree preferred).• Ability to lead, collaborate and influence, including in the face of ambiguity, multiple deadlines, and emerging challenges and priorities.• Expert-level in English-language communications proficiency.• Strong judgment and a growth mindset.• Ability to oversee the development of creative and strategic projects and "get the best" from team members.• Genuine passion for overseeing communications that drive employee engagement, employee experience and executive thought leadership.• Proven experience working with senior business and thought leaders.• Demonstrated leadership and team building acumen.• Passion, energy and commitment.• Business savvy and intelligence.• Flexibility and a strong work ethic.• Effective organizational skills to oversee multiple project teams, timelines and stakeholders.• Good sense of humor and respect for others.
