Sr. EMR Product Specialist

Your Role

The Senior Product Specialist EMRs will lead the team in the management and evolution of our Athena EMR system. The Senior Product Specialist EMRs will partner with the technology, clinical and operational and product teams to build custom solutions for clinical care teams to improve patient care, enhance access to care, and strengthen patient-centered initiatives. This role will provide technical support to clinical team members in the implementation and utilization of our EMR technology to improve quality and accessibility to care. You will work with our technology, clinical and client partner teams in other EMR integration initiatives, bringing expertise in general EMR capabilities and how to best integrate into the Honest business processes and leverage clinical data.

Primary Functions of the Senior EMR Product Specialist Include:

• Collaborate with our clinical and operational teams to manage the evolution and adoption of the Athena product and how we use it to optimize clinical outcomes, communication, quality and efficiency.
• Own the Athena product roadmap for Honest by looking for new capabilities and opportunities to use products within the Athena market place and how the tool fits within the broader system and data ecosystem.
• Work with our vendor partner and internal teams to optimize the use and effectiveness of the system and the associated management reporting and audit capabilities. This includes the configuration, planning, and execution of new features or product launches for our end users.
• Chair the Athena Product Steering Group by collaborating with our teams to help maximize the investment in the tool and the outcomes we want to drive for our patients and our organization.
• Configure the Athena tool where necessary to support functional and operational needs.
• Work directly with Athena, being the key relationship between the two organizations and driving any necessary project related ativities with them.
• Collaborate with client partners as required to best integrate other EMRs into our clinical processes and optimize access to key clinical data
• Collaborate with the technology team and client partners to identify needs and manage the integration process of our EMR with other internal and external systems.
• Participate in regular security assessments and audits of EMR systems and periodic reviews of the EMR security architecture.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

• Must have reliable access to high-speed internet to ensure seamless remote work communication and productivity
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer discipline or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience supporting implementation of an Electronic Medical Record system, preferably expert in athenahealth
• 5+ years experience at a healthcare organization in clinical informatics role; start-up experience would be a bonus.
• 3+ years of experience of the Athena EMR product, having a detailed understanding of the key functionality and its application to key clinical business processes.
• Broad understanding of the EMR software required;
• Ability to integrate clinical expertise, computer science, and informatics in the development of clinical technology systems
• Strong customer service orientation and experience training physicians and nurses
