WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsibilities

The Sr. Product Manager, U.S. Market Development is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of key market development programs, materials, and tools. This role is part of a dynamic and growing team that develops and executes high-impact educational and promotional initiatives targeting key health care provider (HCP) stakeholders, such as Heart Failure Specialists and General Cardiologists, to increase awareness, interest and focus on our life-changing Structural Heart therapies. This role will reside in Abbott Structural Heart headquarters in Santa Clara, California and will report to the Group Marketing Manager, U.S. Market Development.
  • Work closely with field team and referring physician customers to identify unmet market needs and opportunities related to the identification and treatment of mitral regurgitation, then explore/deploy innovative solutions to address those needs.
  • Develop/implement customer-targeted education strategies, initiatives, and tools focused on elevating therapy awareness and interest in MitraClip therapy.
  • Manage external creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new marketing materials.
  • Plan/lead participation in key industry conferences, including managing Abbott-sponsored symposia.
  • Gather/integrate strategic feedback/guidance from clinical thought leaders, including leading advisory board meetings.
  • Contribute to other key Market Development team initiatives, including but not limited to market research, business planning, and commercial sales team meetings.
  • Key initiatives/tools could include: digital marketing campaigns, collateral, educational events, training programs, digital tools, and dashboards.
  • Partner with Regulatory colleagues in the review/approval of marketing materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required
  • 5+ years of commercial/marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Healthcare or medical device experience strongly desired.

Preferred
  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience developing and launching field campaigns, clinical selling tools and innovative promotional collateral.
  • Ability to lead a team and work in a collaborative group environment, partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with field organizations to implement sophisticated technical, clinical, and/or economic-based messaging/programs for innovative medical device products.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience working with (presenting to, partnering with) healthcare professional customers and Senior/Executive-level leadership.
  • Experience and knowledge of heart failure, structural heart disease and cardiac imaging a plus.
  • Experience with digital sales tools, educational programs, and sales force automation.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, elevate actionable insights, and communicate data implications to key stakeholders.
