The Customer and Sales Support Continuous Improvement PMO team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager. This role focuses on enhancing our service and support capabilities for customers and the sales team by researching existing processes, identifying pain points, gathering requirements from stakeholders, and designing impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing large-scale projects, analyzing complex processes, leveraging data analytics, and facilitating stakeholder discussions. This position demands a proactive and self-educating approach to a diverse range of projects, with the ability to work semi-autonomously through discovery and research phases. Expect to engage in every stage of the project lifecycle, from discovery to success measurement, while presenting your findings and proposals to senior and executive leadership. Job Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in solution design and large, complex project management.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex processes and leverage data analytics effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record of facilitating and driving discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Solution Design: Experience in designing and presenting solutions that guide leadership to informed decisions.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle, including discovery, charter proposal, deep research, solution design, option proposal, execution, hand-off, and success measurement.
- Autonomy: Ability to work semi-autonomously with minimal direction during the discovery and research phases of projects.
- Research and Self-Education: Willingness and ability to conduct significant research and self-education on diverse project subjects.
- Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting findings and proposals to senior and executive leadership.
- Leadership and Guidance: While leadership support is available, the candidate should be capable of leading projects through various phases independently.
- Diverse Project Scope: Openness to managing projects with diverse scopes, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
- Impact Focus: Dedicated to working on high-visibility, high-impact projects that benefit customers, the sales team, and employees.
Acts as a key contributor in a more complex/critical environment. This is a senior career position and a senior professional will stabilize their career at this level. Promotions only occur beyond this level as a result of business need and on a selective case by case basis. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of others without formal management responsibilities; may utilize internal or external resources to accomplish goals

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$96,800 - $161,400
