Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

· Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers

· Define best practices and the technical roadmap for our automation suites

· Plan, design, and implement automation frameworks for various applications from frontend to backend

· Research new testing tools and technologies

· Write reliable UI and API tests to increase testing coverage

· Develop database fixtures and testing hooks to facilitate automation

· Develop scripts and tools for our continuous integration system

· Review specs and technical designs from a testability perspective

· Work closely with product and development teams to understand requirements and technical specifications

· Create test plans, test cases, and automation for new features and enhancements to existing features

· Setup and monitor continuous integration for build, deploy and automated tests

· Perform exploratory testing as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

· Ability to manage a broad range of deliverables in an ever-changing environment

· Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams

· Ability to comprehend documentation clearly and effectively

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Working knowledge of OOP coding concepts

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Detail oriented; demonstrated ability to handle multiple strategic projects and priorities with efficiency and accuracy

· Strong presentation, verbal and written skills as proven with well-written technical, project, client and related communications and presentations

Qualifications:

· 5 years of professional experience with C# or Java

· Experience testing RESTful and non-RESTful APIs and web applications

· A deep understanding of Selenium 2/WebDriver

· Experience testing web frontends (React, Angular, etc.)

· Experience with BDD style of Automation testing

· Experience writing SQL (you should be able to join tables)

· Minimum of 7 years experience in software engineering

· Experience in agile / scrum methodologies

· Excellent communication skills

· Minimum of 5 years experience building and executing Automated Tests

· Experience with modern web application frameworks (Ex. Angular, Ember, React, etc.)

· Experience with AWS infrastructure including EC2 instances, VMs, S3 storage as it relate to automated testing
