Sr. Technical Designer

ANINE BING is looking for a Sr. Technical Designer to join its Production team in Los Angeles. 

The Sr. Technical Designer will manage the technical product development process from initial design to final execution, ensuring fit and quality stay consistent.

The Senior Technical Designer excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has strong communication skills for engaging with all levels of management. The ideal candidate must be flexible and passionate about building teams with different skill sets and personalities.

This role is based at our Los Angeles HQ and reports to the Director of Technical Design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide factories with initial specs during the development stages 
• Lead fit sessions, analyze fit issues and accurately communicate technical corrections to vendors
• Gather and organize all notes post fitting to review with the Director of Technical Design to prioritize the workload
• Use the factory pattern (paper or digital) to provide critical technical adjustments on Illustrator/Photoshop
• Create and update blocks in the WFX following the Anine Bing catalog as a guide. Assign P.O.M. if needed
• Maintain and update How to Measure Guide based on codes assigned in the WFX for all categories
• Assign and release graded specs at PP approval stage as well as establish grade rule for new categories while adhering to the Anine Bing standard 
• Coordinate fit session, including managing W.I.P. and distributing Fit Lists
• Support fit model search, casting and technical processes

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of Fit technician experience and/or Technical Designer; knowledge of pattern making is a plus.
• Must have technical experience with multiple product classifications 
• Must possess a keen eye to identify fit issues and recommend solutions 
• Must have a strong understanding of garment construction and fabric types 
• Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel 
• Experience using WFX is a plus

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000
