As an SRE in VeepeeTech you will be a part of the transversal SRE community and at the same time integrate an agile product team.

You will ensure the system’s reliability and scalability, apply DevOps practices and share knowledge within the SRE community by taking the ownership of the main automation and deployment processes. 

You will also support team members with the technical challenges they might face and assure the smooth communication on the functional level.

Our distributed infrastructure across several data centers in Europe, comprises more than 800 physical devices, 3200 virtual machines, and handles over 65,000 transactions per day. 

Responsabilities

• Implement deployment tools and industrialization processes (CI/CD, blue/green, canary, rollback, etc.)
• Automate the provisioning of resilient infrastructure that meets product needs
• Work with development teams to facilitate regular production releases
• Maintain services in operational conditions, analyze and resolve anomalies related to performance and scalability (load tests) of current and historical deployments
• Supervise the application park in collaboration with the Network Operations Center (MOM), manage access and security
• Evangelize on DevOps best practices and participate in building a true cross-sectional SRE community within Veepee

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of industrialization processes, agile methods, gitflow, and general DevOps practices combined with good system knowledge;
• Experience with high-availability production environments;
• OS : Linux (Good knowledge)
• IaC : Packer, Terraform, Ansible
• SUP : Alerta, ELK, Prometheus
• Orchestrator : Kubernetes
• Containers : Docker, Containerd, Cri-o
• Languages : shell, Python, GoDB : ETCD, Galera/Maria
• DB, Patroni/PostgreSQL, Elastic, CouchDB, MongoDB
• Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
• CI/CD : Gitlab, ArgoCD
• Others: Consul, Vault
• You must have a strong customer service culture which is essential for being close to the customers
• Understanding their daily operations and supporting them through change is a crucial quality for the success of those transformation
