Staff Data Analytics Engineer
We are looking for experienced, high caliber Staff Data Analytics Engineer to join our Software Research & Development team.
This team is part of a culturally diverse global team sharing the same goal, and is comprised of highly skilled, experienced, motivated, ever-curious and thus ever-learning individuals. As part of this team, you will design, develop, and document software applications used to process and display medical device data.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Creating a Data Analytics platform to perform analysis on complex and dynamic data that allows visualizing the data from various data sources and helps decision making to improve patient outcomes.
- Working with project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data analysis or deployment of already existing advanced analytics solutions and BI tools.
- Scoping & delivering projects with minimal guidance and managing risks.
- Provide mentorship to other team members and able to bring together diverse skill sets.
- Utilizing the time and resources in an efficient, cost-conscious manner to ensure that scope & timelines are feasible.
- Developing analytical solutions with hands on experience in analytics delivery through the entire life cycle of analytics project.
- Provide technical support in response to inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, and field staff.
- Design and implement various database queries, stored procedures, etc.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and isolate software problems as well as offers strategic solutions, analysis, and advice regarding identified issues for future development.
- Working pro-actively with the various stake holders to accommodate their reporting needs during audits or major releases.
- Good communication skills and engaging effectively with various internal, external stake holders and leadership team.
Education and Experience You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 5 years progressively more responsible work experience in a range of software engineering disciplines using a variety of programming methods.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, and with health care professionals, physicians, and field staff.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Data Algorithms, Data Structures, statistics (concepts and methodologies) and its application.
- Strong experience implementing Data Analytics solutions in at least one of the prominent cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with object-oriented programming language(s), relational databases, formal software development methodologies, and source code management.
Preferred
- Experience with cloud computing (Azure, AWS, etc.), web development , multi-threading and networking.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and PostgreSQL.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- End-End Data management - ETL/ELT tools (Matillion/Informatica/Alteryx), Data quality and evaluation tools, traditional databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgress), Cloud native databases (Redshift, Synapse, BigQuery).
- Experience with any one or more of these programming languages - Java, C#, Python.
- Experience with Big data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem, Spark).
- Experience with Data warehouse solutions (Teradata, Azure SQL DW/Synapse).
