Staff Product Designer

The Role
This position is based in New York City.

As a Product Designer, you'll be accountable for managing work-streams, providing product direction, leading within the design team, and tackling complex problems. You'll also be responsible for launching well-executed products, connecting related projects, and influencing team culture. With exceptional design skills, experience in high-fidelity prototyping, and a track record of improving tools and frameworks, you'll contribute to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture while fostering a healthy design process.
Responsibilities:

• Managing entire work-streams, providing product direction through goal-setting and planning
• Leading within the design team and among cross-functional peers
• Tackling systems-level problems with numerous interconnected constraints
• Launching well-defined and well-executed products
• Solving Product Design problems that few others can
• Connecting related projects across the company to resolve issues or joint decisions quickly

How you'll go about it:

• Influencing and strengthening team culture while identifying areas for development
• Demonstrating a track record of clearly and articulately representing work in presentations and reviews with executives and other leaders
• Effectively communicating the team's product goals, framing discussions to elicit desired feedback
• Having experience in interviewing
• Acting as an ally by actively helping others and treating colleagues with respect and generosity
• Being empathetic to team members' feelings and putting in effort for the team's benefit
• Contributing to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture while fostering a healthy design process

What you need to succeed

• Exceptional in one dimension of design, e.g., Product thinking, Interaction Design, Execution, Craft, Programs
• Skilled in using high-fidelity prototyping tools
• Experience developing and improving tools, frameworks, or existing systems
• Designed new patterns or introduced standards adopted by others in previous roles
• Track record of proactively identifying and driving initiatives that strengthen the team

$185,000 year to $210,000 year + equity + benefits
Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate's final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include equity, or benefits , if applicable.
