The Partner Relations and Impact Leader supports the development of our community engagement strategy and ensure alignment with the utilities' business and strategic interests. This position reports to the Economic Development and Impact Leader and supports the development and implementation of collaborator relationship strategies for AES Indiana and AES Ohio. The roles also leads the development of our employee engagement and volunteerism efforts.

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to support AES US Utilities' responsible transition to greener, more thoughtful energy solutions.
  • Evaluate and identify balanced partnerships/initiatives which drive social impact, lift Company's reputation and brand, and supports the company's overall strategy
  • Develop a team to deliver a set of key outcomes and results and to feed a culture that is encouraging, collaborative and results-oriented
  • Support the development and implementation of collaborator relationship strategies for AES Indiana and AES Ohio.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with local team members including local community officials, key business leaders and media
  • Owned the team responsible for implementation of a fully coordinated community engagement strategy
  • Develop strategy for employee volunteerism efforts across AES US Utilities
  • Support the development of important metrics and evaluation of our social impact programs as well as track and report progress.
  • Ensure that all social impact programs/initiatives and donations are governed by sound ethical, corporate governance and legal principles/practices.
  • Support the development of critical metrics and evaluation of our social impact programs as well as track and report progress.
  • Coordinate all compliance, legal documentation, invoice processing and check requests for all community contributions

Requirements:

  • BA or BS with 10 to 15 years of confirmed experience
  • Outstanding communication skills, particularly in writing and outreach, with the ability to earn trust with multiple team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, establish relationships, engage with vital team members inside and outside the organization to drive value
  • Demonstrated success in leadership, developing talent, and leading a team
  • High level of ownership and ability to act independently while being coordinated with a diverse set of key customers
  • Intuition for business with ability to understand sophisticated issues and related them to external branding, messaging, media, and other communications.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Demonstrates initiative, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, big picture thinker
  • Strong project management, organizational, strategic planning, analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills
