Position Summary: The Strategic Account Specialist - National Accounts (SAS) is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with customers, primarily in the hospitality industry, serving as a liaison between the client(s) and the Blueprint RF sales organization, with critical focus on proactively engaging the customer, thereby providing a positive experience. Within each customer hierarchy, the SAS will be expected to engage and collaborate with Blueprint RF sales team on initiatives such as contract administration, CRM data integrity, renewals and sales opportunities. The SAS will use their relationship building skills to maintain an open and trustworthy relationship proactively addressing all service related issues associated with that customer accounts.
FUNCTIONS:
  • ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE: The SAS maintains the consistency of BPRF Accounts, ensuring consistency throughout internal databases and proactively mitigating potential issues due to incorrect or missing information. The SAS , in collaboration with the sales rep aligned to each account, will manage contract administration on new deals, monitor and contact clients regarding contract and license renewals and periodically conduct brand account audits to ensure data integrity and mitigate potential issues that could damage the customer relationship.
  • CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: The SAS will act as our clients primary point of contact with key accounts and is expected to build relationship equity and maintain a consistent line of communication with customers. during heightened escalation of issues (support/technical or billing) and coordinate virtual meetings/phone calls with customers to resolve issues, involving the correct internal stakeholders.
  • PROACTIVE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT: To insure proactive engagement with assigned strategic accounts, the SAS discovers and addresses any changes and developments in the customer environment. The SAS will be responsible for helping identify growth opportunities within each account and works closely with Regional Sales Managers and Brand Support staff to coordinate a strategy for expanding the service portfolio within those accounts.
  • ACCOUNT REVIEWS and PRESENTATIONS: The SAS will coordinate annual reviews with top BPRF accounts including key customer decision makers and the BPRF internal account team, as well as any other partner groups that enhance the value of the interaction (i.e. RapidScale, Cox Hospitality Network, Cox 2M). The SAS also plays a key role in creating customer-facing presentations using data (current inventory, utilization reports, contact information, new products, etc.) provided by various support groups and team members.
  • INTERNAL CUSTOMER REPRESENTATION: As a key part of the BPRF Team, the SAS is responsible for ensuring the best possible customer experience while advocating for the customer and the best interest of our business. This may include providing data and reporting regularly on customer accounts, customer information needed for site surveys and project tracking records, and use of customer SharePoint portals, such as Hilton Service Now. The SAS is expected to have a robust understanding of hospitality technology and the BPRF product line, as well as a working knowledge of additional resources available through Cox HN and other Cox businesses, such as Rapidscale. The SAS is responsible for maintaining a strong rapport with all boundary partners (i.e. Sales, Project Management, Support, Engineering, Development, etc.) as well as collaborating with Cox Hospitality Network
  • SALES SUPPORT: The SAS role also partners with the brand national account teams (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.) to assist with renewal efforts and new strategic initiatives. SAS will also collaborate internally regarding all RFI's and RFP customer requests ensuring a timely and accurate response. The SAS may also assist in escalation management on behalf of the Regional Sales Manager to ensure a better customer experience.

Qualificiations:
Minimum
  • 6 years of experience in a related field; or a BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience in a related field; or MS/MA degree in a related discipline

Preferred
  • 5 years business-to-business sales or account management experience, hospitality experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on account strategy plans, structure complex deals, manage multiple strategic partnerships and develop business to support growth
  • Experience selling, presenting and influencing C-level customers, key decision makers, and end-users in both individual and team sales environments.
  • Superior strategic, analytical, and negotiating skills
  • Ability to present complex topics to audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge
  • 3 years of commercial telecom or hospitality account management experience
  • Knowledge of managed networks (i.e., Wi-Fi, GRE, FTG, Circuit, Voice)
