Job Description

As a Strategic Marketing Manager, you will join the Strategic Markets (Go to Market) team of Melio and will lead our field marketing in our most strategic segments. This will be focused on building our brand and setting our go-to-market teams up for success in the food and beverage space in several locations, including Denver and Los Angeles, with a specific focus on beverage industries such as wine, spirits, and beer. You will be curating our presence in events, engaging strongly with our F&B partners in the space, and managing our relationships and execution with associations, suppliers, and publications in the space. 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Coordinate and project manage all of Melio’s ground-level marketing efforts in the defined focus segments
  • Identify, with the support of the existing teams, opportunities to take part in industry events with our target audience and build Melio’s presence in those events
  • Identify all the relevant associations and publications - in efforts to identify relevant opportunities to partner with them to bring Melio to their followers
  • Execute on top ground level marketing initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Leverage your existing network in the beverage space to set up more opportunities
  • Working closely with the Brand lead of Melio in order to share Melio messaging and brand best practices.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Brand, Content, Growth, Sales) to provide marketing insight, program timelines, and deliverables within budget. 

What we’d love to see: 

  • 3+ years of work experience in the Wine, Beer, Spirits (Preferred), or F&B Ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in creating events offline & online in the Wine or F&B ecosystem. 
  • A true connecter, a great listener, and extraordinarily empathetic
  • Experience launching local marketing initiatives
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong Project management skills
  • Know how to use social management and tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Experience in the payment or accounting space is a plus

  • Base compensation range is 100,000 - 120,000
