About this Position

The Strategy Principal will support the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. Their responsibilities will include analyzing market trends, identifying and conducting diligence on potential partnership opportunities, identifying and conducting diligence on potential strategic investments, and partnering with senior leadership to identify areas of opportunity within the business and providing appropriate recommendations. This role will also support other strategic initiatives on an as needed basis.

  • Lead efforts to improve company performance through cost efficiencies and reallocation of resources to strategic projects
  • Apply problem-solving skills to address process- and technology-related opportunities in partnership with business leaders
  • Liaise with Technology team to inform modernization and automation goals
  • Develop and effectuate strategy to systematically deploy AI & data analytics across the company
  • Serve as lead point of contact and relationship manager for new and existing Strategy partnerships
  • Develop and lead a platform within Primerica to support performance improvement through innovation and technology partnerships
  • Develop framework and lead execution of financial and strategic business cases to gain leadership buy-in for partnerships
  • -Identify and vet appropriate partners and competitors and work with internal stakeholders to establish implementation plans
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with C-suite and Board leaders
  • Produce articulate and persuasive C-suite and Board-level presentations of strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal business leaders to vet and develop new ideas in a way that fits with business unit strategies
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree ideally with exposure to quantitative subjects (areas of study could include, but are not limited to business, management, economics, accounting, finance, engineering, and others)
  • 4 - 5 years
  • Strong business understanding and financial acumen, ideally obtained in management consulting or corporate strategy development
  • Fundamental understanding of business frameworks and ability to analyze performance improvement ideas for key stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of external trends and competitor strategies that inform opportunities and strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, ability to build relationships with key internal and external business partners
  • Superior research, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to plan and support cross functional projects
  • High level of creativity, problem solving acumen and innovative thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from top-tier program with strong performance; background in performance improvement, strategy, and finance
