About the job…

This role is exceeding customers’ expectations by focusing efforts to provide a high level of service e.g. lead time improvements, special order handling along with financial savings through supplier negotiation and transportation. In addition, the supply chain coordinator will proactively work with securing quality, customer and supplier performance, problem solving, and driving improvements which enable the standard order flow.

This is an onsite position located in Greenwood, IN.

Responsibilities include:

Supplier Purchase Order management:

  • ​Secure quality by providing the specifications and requirements of the items.

  • Obtain the best possible lead times from the supplier prior to acknowledgement.

  • Negotiate purchase price variance savings based on quantity breaks and approved changes in supply chain (PPV).

  • Ensure the most economical transportation option is used to meet the customer’s demand (Ocean vs Air Freight or Ground vs Air Express).

  • Updating the ERP system with any changes to the item parameters required to ensure correct communication and visibility with our internal and external customers. (Lead times, pricing, supplier calendar, routes, etc.).

  • Prioritize according to the action messages in Movex to optimize material planning.

  • Work to reduce inventory reserves and obsolescence. 

Special order handling, administration and follow up.

  • Lead time improvements (Expedites, Emergency Breakdowns, Alt Supply chains).

  • Special order handling (VIP Customers, additional order documentation, high value orders, certificate orders, etc.).

  • Proactive handling of deviations in the supply chain including communication to the customers and suppliers.

Responsible to monitor and improve day to day Customer and Supplier performance.

  • Customer – Delivery Accuracy (DOTp, DOTi (Time and Quality), and DOTc) and Lead Time (OFLTd).

  • Supplier – Supplier Deviations (PPS390), Delivery Accuracy (sDOT), Stock Availability (SA).

  • Support / drive continuous improvements activities identified and prioritized in the cell.

What you know:

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience of relevant service experience in a distribution / operations environment.

  • Skills: Proficient typing ability, ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbally in English and local language with both internal parties and external suppliers and customers, organized, detail oriented, problem solving, analytical, team player, sense of urgency, service minded, willingness to learn, change, and adapt, relationship building.

  • Driven to handle customer / supplier requests in a speedy manner.
