Supply Chain Specialist

The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Specialist, to optimize our Masterflex organization. This Valencia CA role is full-time, on- site working Monday through Friday 5:30 AM- 2:00 PM.

Minimum Education Requirement:

• High School diploma/ GED acceptable

Required Experience (One+ yr.):

• Manufacturing, operations and/ or supply chain
• Analytical skills
• Problem-solving
• Computer/ www, intranet
• Collaboration skills (IE: Microsoft Office)

Preferred Experience:

• Working in an ERP system (Epicor experience a plus)
• Spanish speaking
• Reconciling invoices
• Working in a regulated environment (IE: cGMP, ISO, or FDA)

The position is within Specialty Motors, Inc. located in Valencia, CA. Specialty Motors is part of Avantor’s Masterflex organization, which manufactures peristaltic pump systems and fluid handling solutions engineered for a long life, provide superior accuracy and repeatability, ensuring optimal performance from the research phase to scaled-up production.

The Supply Chain Specialist will:

• Execute purchase orders to meet replenishment plans as well as customer demand variations to maximize customer service.
• Nurture working relationships with vendors to ensure superb delivery performance.
• Execute purchases to support stocking strategies and inventory policies while maintaining a strategic inventory position to support customer needs.
• Implement replenishment plans by placing economical purchase orders based on lead time, discount schedules, freight rates.
• Work with planning and Operations managers to support customer requests.
• Support/maintain vendor relationships and resolve issues related to delivery performance, price variances, minimums, and logistics issues.
• Provide feedback on critical vendors to ensure proactive compliance to committed performance.
• Work with the Inventory Manager to ensure days of supply goals are met which actively reduces slow, excess, and obsolete inventory.
• Maintain critical supply chain data to support forecasting, customer communication and product planning.
• Communicate with manufacturing, customer service, quality, marketing, sourcing and operations departments regarding product availability and delivery schedules.
• Improve the operation responsiveness through managing lead times and collaborating with stakeholders to advance the supply chain.
• Establish and deploy best practices to ensure customer and business expectations are met for inventory planning and business strategies.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$58,000.00 - $97,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
