Supply Planning Manager (M/F/D)

Avantor is looking for a strategic Supply Planning Manager to cover Europe & North America to be responsible for coordinating processes for global end-to-end Supply Planning for the Lab Solutions Total Science Solutions business. This role drives the continuous improvement of the planning processes and frameworks, as well as contributing to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives.

This role will be a hybrid position, based on our Leuven site, in Belgium; with 2 days in the office a week as well as 25% travel to Europe & North America.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation, outstanding communication, and influential skills along with a strong passion for the Life Science market.

The team

The successful Supply Planning Manager will be part of a wider team of 30. They will lead change, motivate and influence stakeholders, and develop best practices & policies.

What we’re looking for

• Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree, in Supply Chain, Business, IT or a related field
• Experience: 7+ years of supply chain management experience is designated SME field
• Data-driven with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems
• Business process knowledge
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work independently with limited supervision to identify key insights and critical thinking to prioritize and focus on the highest-value opportunities or the biggest risks
• Demonstrated senior level presence
• Experience with standard work creation, value stream mapping and other standard production system tools
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP 
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience in project management and change management is highly preferred

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Develop and maintain best practices, policies and standard work for Supply Planning function based on advanced knowledge obtained from advanced education and experience
• Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions using best practices to strengthen processes and solve for difficult problems in focus area
• Establish KPIs and leverage reporting and analytics to track progress and monitor success in focus area
• Support and coach planning teams to deliver best in class process
• Training and workshop facilitator for new and existing planning resources on leveraging supply chain planning solutions to their fullest potential.
• Ensure that planning processes are sustained at the intended maturity level with adherence to the relevant weekly and monthly processes
• Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders to deliver integrated processes
• Supprt your team/function/business unit/the enterprise by working across boundaries, navigating complexities, and effectively interfacing with leaders across the organization
