System Architect -Advanced

The Florida Department of Health Division of Disease Control and Health Protection Bureau of Epidemiology is looking for a System Architect - Advanced to add to their team.

Contractor will perform the following tasks in the time and manner specified:

• Daily, perform quality assurance evaluations of ELR COVID-19 data from established laboratories and those first entering the ELR process, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, monitor the translation process of ELR COVID-19 data that has been moved into production, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, troubleshoot internal issues or issues with source trading partners, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, configure, validate, onboard additional hospitals and labs for COVID-19 testing, working directly with their technical resources, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, make interface changes due to new COVID-19 tests (antibody, rapid testing, etc.) that need to be reported, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, provide consultation to ELR data providers regarding HL7 data submission standards and ELR submission requirements, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, participate in ELR meetings and consult with the technical team on resolution, as directed by the Department.
• Daily, establish connectivity with new hospital or laboratory by completing initial setup, requirements and design review, testing and reviewing, adjusting as necessary and turning onto production use for COVID-19, as directed by the Department.
• Assist COVID-19. Contractor will be available to provide support off hours, holidays, and weekends as needed by the Department.

This opportunity is for a full-time, 1.5 year contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $80/hour or $166,400 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need -

A successful System Architect -Advanced candidate possesses years of experience in below mentioned skills-

• Four years of experience with Health Level 7 formatted data
• Four years of experience with Microsoft SQL database engine
• Three years of experience in medical systems, business process in the medical field, laboratory information management systems, electronic health records and public health surveillance.
• Four years of experience using Cloverleaf and Mirth to handle HL7 translation and data manipulation from electronic health records.
